Litus Maldives is introducing a new service focused on vessel fabrication and customization for marine surveys. Survey work at sea comes with real challenges, and vessels need to be prepared to handle equipment, people, and long working hours offshore. This service is about adapting vessels to support survey teams properly and safely in real working conditions.
We customize vessels to support geotechnical and geophysical surveys, environmental and oceanographic work, and coastal, reef, and lagoon surveys. The focus is on practical changes such as creating survey ready deck spaces, installing mounting frames for survey equipment, improving power supply and cable routing, and setting up survey cabins or control rooms based on project needs.

Recently, Litus Maldives supported a marine survey project in the Maldives by fabricating and configuring a survey ready landing craft. The vessel was adapted to carry specialized survey equipment, provide stable working decks, and deliver reliable power for offshore operations. Customized accommodation containers were also installed, giving survey teams comfortable and functional spaces to live and work during extended deployments.
Designed for nearshore and island based survey work, the landing craft allowed easy movement of equipment and personnel while supporting smooth operations in demanding marine conditions. This project shows how the right vessel setup and careful planning can make survey work safer, easier, and more efficient.
